About Us

Joelle Hadley is the founder and president of The Culture Coaches.  Her career background includes the roles of publisher and director of sales at The Phoenix Business Journal.  With a degree from The Missouri School of Journalism, her media career includes 11 years of marketing, sales and publishing leadership with American City Business Journals, the nation's largest publisher of weekly business newspapers.  Joelle was also the face and voice of local business news on the NBC affiliate KPNX and on KTAR news-talk radio.  She is an expert in presentation skills coaching and is certified in Emotional Intelligence from the Institute of Health and Human Potential.  Joelle has inspired thousands of women and executives across the country with her many keynote speeches and workshops centered on corporate culture, life balance and personal excellence.

 

 

 Melinda Hadley-deBoer is Co-Founder of The Culture Coaches and is the former vice president and director of human resources of American Centry Investments, a financial services company based in Kansas City, Missouri.  Supporting an employee base of 2,000 people, Melinda managed three crucial areas: human resources training, organizational development and employee relations and recruitment.  Her ten-year career with American Century, along with her double masters degree in Management and Human Resource Development from Webster University, has given her the exceptional experience of transforming fast growing entrepreneurial companies into large organizations with structured people-development programs.  Melinda is certified in Covey Seven Habits and Blanchard's Situational Leadership II.

Lives on a road called Dreamy Draw in central Phoenix, Arizona with her two dogs Rocketman and Asia and her cat Tutti Santi.

Loves to cook chicken enchiladas and Betty's red sauce with meatballs while watching Ina Garten on the Food Network.

When not Culture Coaching, is at The Village Club doing power yoga or spin class, hiking the Phoenix Mountain Preserves or redesigning (again) one of the rooms in her house.

Loves to read Coastal Living, The Wall Street Journal and sometimes People Magazine.

Loves any Van Morrison, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and drinking two cups of coffee with flavored creamer in the morning while sitting on her back patio listening to the birds.

Most beautiful things seen:  30 feet below the water on the Kaanapali coast of Maui, Hawaii and fireworks in the night sky on the 4th of July over Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Is still hoping to learn Spanish, rent a villa in Italy and take a cooking class for an entire week and write her book.

Lives on Amanda Lane in the Deerbrook North neighborhood of Lee's Summit, Missouri just outside of Kansas City.

ribe of five: husband Hermann, daughter Madeleine, son Ian and yellow lab Ginger.

Makes it a ritual to spend
Wednesday and Friday mornings with her husband attempting to master downward dog and tree pose in Vicki's yoga class.

When not Culture Coaching, is usually helping teachers cut out shapes with scissors that are too small for adult hands and shelving library books like "Where the Wild Things Are" and "When You Give a Mouse a Cookie."

Travels by ferry every summer to Ocracoke Island, North Carolina, a quaint little fishing village where bicycles outnumber cars, where there is no fast food and where Blackbeard lost his head.
